Courthaye

An entrance hall leads to a most attractive and tastefully furnished dining room with a separate fully fitted kitchen and a separate living area .

On the first floor there are two spacious en-suite bedrooms. If required we can link the twin beds in one bedroom making a 6ft double.

‘ Over the years since they opened,we have stayed in all five cottages, sometimes twice a year and have always found them to be very well appointed, furnished to the highest quality with the utmost attention to detail. Similar comments apply to the gardens in that no expense has been spared regarding the layout and content.’

David and Annelies says:

All the cottages are gems. Each has kept faithfully to the unique feel of this unspoiled Devon town, where it is easy to feel the past only became the past a moment or so before.Yet each cottage has every possible up-to-the-moment convenience, and all entirly unobtrusive. All this is down to the delightful owners, Geoffrey and Selwyn. Their superlative taste and clever design is felt no less in the setting – a prize-winning garden which is a haven of peace. Our time here each summer is a week not to be missed. There are six of us, and we have come every year since the cottages opened. Each time it becomes just that little bit harder to leave.

Astrea & Stuart Harrison says:

A perfect location, warm & comfortable. Wish we were here for longer than a week.

We chose Littlecourt Cottages after looking at many, many different options online. Since we were coming from the USA we weren’t sure what to expect, but once we arrived we were delighted to see that we chose our vacation rental well. Courthaye Cottage lived up to all of our expectations. It was attractively furnished, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the gardens were beautiful. If we have the good fortune to return to Sidmouth, we will definitely stay at Littlecourt Cottages again.

Hi Selwyn and Geoffery

Just a small note to say that it was well worth the wait….. we have been coming to Sidmouth for Easter for a good many years now and your cottages have always been fully booked until this year….

And it was definitely worth waiting for from the privacy of the beautifully kept grounds to the luxury and cleanliness of the cottage, we were thrilled and felt really at home and relaxed.

Needless to say from now on we will be booking well in advance from now on

Thank you both so much for the cottage and your helpful, friendly and welcoming nature

Having just returned from yet another lovely week’s holiday in Courthaye Cottage with the family, we would like to recommend Littlecourt Cottages as superb accommodation for anyone wishing to visit this beautiful part of Devon. The cottages are furnished to the highest standard and every year some upgrade takes place. Selwyn and Geoff have created a most attractive garden which is a haven of tranquility, and we understand why it continues to win lst prize in the Britain in Bloom competition. We have rebooked Courthaye again for next year, when we know we will receive the usual warm welcome from Selwyn and Geoff.

A very enjoyable return visit. Unobtrusive luxury! And all this a great credit to SELWYN & Geoff. A very civilised place in which to contemplate the vagaries of the Devonian monsoons! We hope to return.

Our 8th stay in Littlecourt, have booked for next year-says it all. Lucky to have a fine week & even swam in the sea. So pleased that Neil’s restaurant is back for superb seafood. Lots to see and do here & nearby. Topsham interesting & Otterton Mill ( great for lunch). Gardens here lovely as ever. Also recommended-a walk up the Byes to Margaret’s Meadow. Theatre round the corner very good, especially when Selwyn & Geoff are in a show ( usually every Easter & October. Thanks to all.

Nick and Colin says:

This was our first stay at Littlecourt (Courthaye Cottage)and it exceeded all our expectations. We were very impressed by the website which, for a change these days, didn’t disappoint us! This really is an idyllic place to stay and their dscription as “Luxury accommodation” is accurate!
There were 4 of us and we found everything we needed in the cottage and it was all spotlessly clean and VERY comfortable. Even if the weather is not too good the cottages are great to just “live in” and enjoy these beautiful surroundings.
It really is just a minute or two stroll into both the town and seafront and there are some lovely restaurants, all easily walkable.
For a week or two to relax and enjoy the seaside I cannot think of anywhere in the UK which can top this.

Tim & Lynda Longhurst & Chris says:

We stay at Littlecourt Cottages every year but this was our first time in Courthaye. As with all the others it was clean and comfortable and most relaxing.

Selwyn and Geoffrey have got it just right – it is indeed a home from home and a haven of tranquility.

Look forward to our stay next year – we are booked already!

Christine and Andy says:

We were most impressed with Courthaye cottage. Any party of four seeking to get away from it all and relax in welcoming, luxuriously appointed, comfortable and spacious accommodation set within tranquil gardens in this unspoiled seaside town need look no further.

John & Angela says:

Having lived in Sidmouth for many years we realised what we missed when we moved away. Our stay at Courthayes was taken at an unpopular time of year but was perfect, easy walking distance of the town and esplanade, delightful gardens, furnished with wonderful taste.Well done Selwyn and Geoffrey, we will return soon.

Val and Peter Truslove says:

This was our first stay at Littlecourt. Courthaye proved to be a 5-star property in a
5-star town. We have already booked to return later this year which says all you need to know about the excellent environment Selwyn and Geoffrey have created in this idyllic spot.
